There has just been a string of public holidays in Korea and Monday is another. A Monday holiday means there is a 10-race card at Seoul from 10:35 to 17:55. Here are the previews:

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
(10) LUNA SOCKS ran second in her one and only trial prior to her debut where she was a beaten odds-on favourite but was not disgraced finishing a two-and-a-half length third. (11) SENNA k was also relegated to third as the odds-on chance on her respective debut, but both fillies can be given another chance despite drawing the widest gates. The Tony Castanheira trained (3) B WORK has made up some ground from the rear in both his solitary trial and race and rates next over (8) HAENGUN STAR which was fourth on debut with (9) BAEKSAN RACE, who was not far away in his first start, an each-way chance with (1) SMART BIGBANG, which has trialled twice for a fifth and a fourth,
| Selections | (10) Luna Socks (11) Senna K (3) B Work (8) Haengun Star |
| Next Best | 9, 1 |
| Fast Start | 2, 5, 9, 10, 11 |
Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(3) ROAD TO PERFECT has only finished outside of the top five once in eight starts and the closest she has come to breaking through was her most recent run when finishing third, so she rates as a solid each-way chance. (10) GEOSEN HAMSEONG has the best performance out of all of these with a last start second so naturally he must be given a strong chance. (4) FLYING CHIEF was well turned over on debut when pulling up lame but if he has come on for the experience he can do better with (2) HONEY SKY, a last start third, next best over (6) GEUMSEONG SHINY and (5) BULPAEUI YEOWANG.
| Selections | (3) Road To Perfect (10) Geosen Hamseong (4) Flying Chief (2) Honey Sky |
| Next Best | 6, 5 |
| Fast Start | 1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 |
Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(4) SURPRISE was an outstanding winner of his second career start at the beginning of the year but subsequently suffered a fracture in the near hind sesamoid and has been off the scene since. He resumed with a trial on September 17 where he was only beaten a nose by the Listed Segye Ilbo runner-up from February in Yeonggwangui World which is outstanding form and he should pick up where he left off and hopefully the sky is his limit. (5) RAON KINGSMAN has two fifth places as his best efforts so far from three runs at this grade and rates as one of the key place chances with (7) STEPPING STONE, who was a debut winner before finishing ninth and fourth in two runs at this level, next best over (11) GLOBAL CARD, (8) BIBA CHARM and (6) BLACK SPECTER with (3) YONGBI SHINHWA, (9) MUHAN ARGO and (2) EODIDEUNJI all solid place chances as well.
| Selections | (4) Surprise (5) Raon Kingsman (7) Stepping Stone (11) Global Card |
| Next Best | 8, 6 |
| Fast Start | 1, 3, 4, 7, 11 |
Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(5) SAEROUN BISUL ran a placing to this year’s Minister’s Cup runner-up Mr. Taeyang at the end of his juvenile campaign before beginning this preparation with a victory in July. He was then second when having his first Class 5 run at his most run and can go one better. The main danger is the Tony Castanheira prepared (10) BLUE HAWAII which caught the eye on debut coming from well back for second, one place ahead of a subsequent winner, before confirming that promise when again coming from well back to win his second race start by three-lengths. That pair clearly have the best form with (11) COWBOY QUEEN perhaps not a bad place chance with a featherweight on her back thanks to a two-kilogram claim from Kwon Jung-seok whilst (3) JOY CHEONHA, (8) SEUNGNI BAROWS and (7) JIJON BULPAE are next best.
| Selections | (5) Saeroun Bisul (10) Blue Hawaii (11) Cowboy Queen (3) Joy Cheonha |
| Next Best | 8, 7 |
| Fast Start | 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 11 |
Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(3) CHRYSOL PEACE has been fifth and second at his last two starts, which have been over the course, distance, and grade, and the winners of both races have gone on to win again subsequently so he rates as a strong each-way hope. There are many of those though and they include (2) BEOLGYO EMPEROR who has been in second, third, and fourth places in three runs at this grade since winning his maiden at the end of March. (1) BLACK MAMA won her maiden by eight-lengths over this distance in May and has subsequently been second and fourth in two runs at this class as a 3.0 favourite on each occasion. (11) BLACK RUSSIAN has been much improved at his last quintet of runs and despite having never actually won a race and drawing in the carpark he can make his presence felt. (7) BLACK SUN and (9) O P S TAP rate next.
| Selections | (3) Chrysol Peace (2) Beolgyo Emperor (1) Black Mama (11) Black Russian |
| Next Best | 7, 9 |
| Fast Start | 1, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 |
Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(5) SONGDANG SKY came up to this level for the first time last start following a Class 5 win and finished a fine second to an impressive winner. She rates as one of the principal players on that form. (1) PASA SPARK could never get near them last start, but she was prior with two wins and a second so can be given another chance. (8) SEJONG POWER has only won once but it was at this grade and is an each-way hope as is (2) TAEKWON V along with last start narrow runner-up (9) NAVID who is next best over (10) FASHION STAR.
| Selections | (5) Songdang Sky (1) Pasa Spark (8) Sejong Power (2) Taekwon V |
| Next Best | 9, 10 |
| Fast Start | 2, 3, 5, 8, 10 |
Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(5) MUJEOK HAMDAE has won two of his past four which include a victory over the class and distance two runs ago. He could never get into the race last start but can be given another chance. (9) WILD MAGIC is a talented three-year-old filly that strung together back-to-back front-running wins before taking a chance in the Gyeonggi Governor’s Cup where she finished fourth. She has since been third on August 29 and can go close again. Seo Seung-un rides (1) LIGHT WING who has consistent enough form to be given a decent each-way chance as does (11) TAEGISAN KING who was a winner at this level three back and has put together two fourth places subsequently. (2) NAMSAN MUJEOK and (6) GHOST CHRYSOL rate next.
| Selections | (5) Mujeok Hamdae (9) Wild Magic (1) Light Wing (11) Taegisan King |
| Next Best | 2, 6 |
| Fast Start | 1, 8, 9, 10 |
Seoul Race 8: Class 2 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million
(6) GLOBAL CHAMP was disappointing last start in a trophy race on Korean Cup weekend, but he was caught wide throughout that race so he can be given another chance considering his previous form was excellent. Kozzi Asano hops on for the first time, and he can right the wrong from last time. (4) MY EMPIRE has multiple wrongs to right including last time when he was also disappointing in a trophy event on international weekend when always towards the rear. His best form is good enough but that is something that we have not seen as often as what we were, perhaps except for two back when he was second to Roshe. (1) REMEMBER AGAIN has topweight but his wins four and two back from contrasting positions shows that he has the ability. (3) TAP TIER is knocking on the door for a win and rates over last start victor (5) SURE WIN and (8) GIANT BOSS.
| Selections | (6) Global Champ (4) My Empire (1) Remember Again (3) Tap Tier |
| Next Best | 5, 8 |
| Fast Start | 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 10 |
Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(3) CHAOS looks a progressive three-year-old filly and followed up her maiden win with a narrow second before winning comfortably by five-lengths on Korean Cup Day. Kozzi Asano will send her straight to the lead and there is every chance she will stay there. (2) BANK LINE led throughout to win over 1300M one grade below this last start and is an each-way chance whilst (7) LOVE IN SEOUL has a big weight but is consistent and has the class so she must be as good a chance as any. (5) ECHO STAR has found life tougher since being promoted to Class 4 but rates next over (6) GEUMJEOKSAN, which won back-to-back races before a fourth last start, and (11) SEMYEONG DIA, which rises nine pounds and three kilograms for her last start front-running win at this level over 1600M.
| Selections | (3) Chaos (2) Bank Line (7) Love In Seoul (5) Echo Star |
| Next Best | 6, 11 |
| Fast Start | 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11 |
Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(1) RAON NIZHINSKII was a smart five-length winner over this distance at Class 4 level two back running away late to beat Flutter before finishing second last start when attempting this grade for the first time. He is seldom far away and will go close. (9) HYEUKMUSANG won back-to-back races at Class 5 and 4 grade before a third at Class 4 last start, the second horse has subsequently bolted up, which brings him straight up to Class 3. This is another test for him, but he is in the right form. (2) WESTERN GUN has not been as good at his last two starts but his prior form was very consistent and would give him a chance whilst (4) HWASANGWIHWAN comes up to this class for the first time following multiple minor placings one level below this. (8) SONGDANG HWANGTAEJA and (10) CHEONGRYOUNGUI CAL are others that are rarely far away and rate as strong each-way chances.
| Selections | (1) Raon Nizhinskii (9) Hyeukmusang (2) Western Gun (4) Hwasangwihwan |
| Next Best | 8, 10 |
| Fast Start | 2, 4, 5, 9, 10 |
