There are 8-races this Friday at Busan starting from the later time of 12:50 and finishing at 19.25. Here are the previews:
Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile maidens with six of the eleven racing for the first time. We’ll take a chance on a debut-maker. (8) SUNNY WILD is a “full” brother to this year’s KRA Cup Mile winner Funny Wild, he looked very good in his trial, cruising around under a hold and crossing the line with an experienced racehorse who was asked for more. He can win first up. (3) GAME MAKER came from well back in his trial and again on debut over 1000M on July 24th when he finished 4th. He should have come on for that run, the additional furlong should suit, and he will probably start as favourite. (11) OASIS ANGEL was 3rd behind Seraph on debut in a quick race over 1000M on June 26th. He too should have come on and is another who may appreciate the step up in trip. (1) LAVENDER CROWN ran on pleasingly in his trial despite getting kickback and can go well first-up. (5) GEORGE PRINCE another with experience who can improve.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(9) LOGIST QUEEN did nothing on debut but was much better when a very close 2nd on July 5th having led for most of the way over 1200M. Third-up, she can be peaking and from on pace again, could go one better in what looks a race of many chances. (10) ART TREE was 3rd on debut last October and didn’t run again until this July 17th when as the 1.3 market-elect, he got a long way back before finishing 5th getting a warning for laying out and the jockey commenting that the slow start and kickback were to blame. He can strip fitter for that run and is worth another chance. (3) OASIS KINGDOM also has a runner-up finish on his record over 1200M in June. That was sandwiched between 5th placings and from a good draw he can be on pace again and be in this a long way and will certainly be a short price. (4) HUIMANG SPEED and (8) FANTASTIC ONE are the main others in the placing frame.

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (1600M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(11) GIROL SIDAE was very ordinary in her first three starts but since being sent up to a mile, she has figured things out with a 2nd and a 3rd from her two tries at the distance, most recently beating a couple of today’s rivals on July 10th when leading. Her draw is wider than ideal, but she had gate ten when 2nd two starts back so it shouldn’t be a problem, and she can win. (6) YEONGGWANGUI GREEN was 4th in that July 10th race when ridden further forward earlier than in previous efforts. That continued a consistent run of form, and he should be aiming for best-to-date finish today. (2) STRONG WINNER has a best of 4th from six starts so far but he has finished off his races well enough and the step up in trip can suit. (9) LUXURY CHOICE and (8) FANTASTIC HONEY others who can be in the mix.

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(7) AEGIS CROWN was a second-up winner at this class and distance on July 10th, racing handy to the speed throughout. He only comes up 1kg in weight today, Seo Seung-un stays on, and he will have plenty of supporters to go back-to-back and will be one of the shortest-priced favourites of the day. (6) HUIMANG TAYO returned from eight months out at the end of May and has since run 2nd and 5th in two tries at this class. He races best on pace so he comes into a much better gate today and third-up he can be peaking. (9) REIGN QUEEN was 3rd behind Aegis Crown when the latter got his maiden win in May and then beat a couple of today’s rivals when 4th on his first try at this class on June 28th and that makes him the logical third pick here. (3) SEONGSIL WORLD and (8) SAENAE HILL perhaps the best of a less than intimidating rest.

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
After running 2nd on debut, (1) TIPPING POINT was a winner at start two over 1000M in June 19th, racing on pace throughout. She is up in class and significantly in trip, but she looks to have plenty of potential for more and she can win again. (10) DOCTOR CHAMP is yet to win in nine but has four runner-up finishes, including his latest at this class and distance on July 10th when leading close to home. He has his fair share of weight and a wide draw here, but he can be a big danger. (6) BULBIT YEONGMA was 4th in that July 10th race, just over a length behind Doctor Champ. His win was back at start number two, but he has been no worse than 5th in five tries at this level and he can be in the thick of things again here. (8) GOOGLE CAR and (11) RIPPLES MARINE among those in line for the minors.

Busan Race 6: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(3) BROWN CHOCO won on debut in April and then ran 2nd to Indie Tiger (who is now three for three and runs on Sunday) at this class and distance on May 15th. He hasn’t raced since and he is up 3kg in weight, but he has been in consistent work since mid-June and from a great draw, he can win. (7) PACHOUI KKUM ran 2nd on debut before winning at start number two over 1300M on June 28th when she led from gate to wire. She is up in class and slightly in trip, but she is down in weight, she can lead again, and she has every chance of measuring up. (11) CORE TIGER could only manage 5th on his first try at this class when stepped up to a mile on July 12th. He comes back down to the trip at which he got his maiden win in June, Seo Seung-un returns to the mount, and he can be a different prospect today. (2) WORLD TREE and up in class (8) IT’S LIT among plenty of other chances in a good race for the level.

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(5) SHIN STAR ONE raced twice last year, getting gelded the day after his debut and improving to 4th second-up. He didn’t race again until this May but is two for two since with his latest win coming over a mile on June 26th. He is up in class and in distance but down in weight, and he can make it three in a row. It won’t be easy and he probably won’t be favourite. (8) DOCTOR CARRY was a class and distance winner two starts back before running 4th on June 28th when handy throughout again. He can settle just behind the speed here and he can be a real danger. (3) CHEONNYEONDOR won her first two races to get rapidly promoted to this class. She was an on-pace beaten favourite when 3rd over a mile on her first try at this level on June 14th but while she stretches out in trip again, she stays under a light weight and from a good gate, she can continue to develop. (6) SWORD WING, a last start class and distance winner, and (10) WORLD DANCER CAT, who comes off the Triple Tiara trail, are among plenty of others in the hunt.

Busan Race 8: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(10) CHARMING STELLAR has made steady progress across four starts so far, all at this class, and culminating in 3rd place over a mile on July 3rd when coming from well back. He stays under a very light weight and while he cuts back in trip, today can be the day. It’s a very competitive race though. Neither (1) OASIS YOUNG nor (8) SMART SHAMAL were especially fancied when they raced one another over this class and distance on July 5th, but they overcame that to finish 5th and 3rd respectively. The former comes down 2kg in weight and may just have a bit more improvement in him than the latter, who may be a non-winner of seventeen, but is in the kind of company where he knows how to pick up a cheque. (2) HANEUL SINHWA and (7) RICH TREE are others who can be in at least the placing frame.
