Two stand-outs here looking to get their maiden wins at what for both of them is the fourth time of asking. (9) NAMBANG JEONSEOL is favoured. He debuted all the way back last year before immediately suffering a setback and didn’t return until September. A 4th and 3rd in two starts since returning in reasonable company suggest he should be favourite to claim this (8) CAPI RUN is the main danger having shown promise in his own three outings and has an apprentice jockey taking a significant amount of weight off. They should account for the quinella with (1) WINNING ALL, (2) PUREUN GANGJA and (6) SONATILLED looking best of the rest.

Race 5: Class 5 / 1000M / Handicap / KRW 40 Million / 14:20
A six-length winner over the distance on October 28th, (7) EOREUM GONGJU is up in class today but should be a quick starter and has every chance of making all once more. Bart Rice’s (3) RACHEL has disappointed slightly in two outings at this level since winning on debut but gets another chance here while (6) LOOK AT ME comes in following a strong 3rd in a decent race at the end of last month and also comes into consideration. (4) SAEROUN NA is another up in class following a first victory and is a strong finisher while the more experienced (8) KWAEDO YEOGEOL looks best of the rest.
Selections: (7) Eoreum Gongju (3) Rachel (6) Look At Me (4) Saeroun Na

Race 6: Class 4 / 1000M / Handicap / KRW 55 Million / 15:05
Seven of the twelve make their racecourse debuts here and given that the five who have raced before have shown absolutely nothing so far, we’ll focus on those first-timers. Plenty stood out in trials including the most expensive purchase, filly (11) YEONGGWANG SEUNGNI, who won her heat by ten-lengths. Also coming out on top in their trials were (4) DANGDAE GEOHAM and (5) SANDIEGO MARINE and both will be expected to debut solidly here. The latter defeated (2) TUSCARORA BILL who also showed promise and gets a top jockey booking as does (1) DAMYANG HWANHO, 2nd in her trial with every chance here. Among the ones who have raced before, four of them went in the same race on October 7th. (9) POINT LUCK was the best in that race before struggling when stepped up in distance last time so should go better here while (12) DAEWANGBONG was dreadful in it but looked much sharper when sent back to trial at the end of last month.
Selections: (5) Sandiego Marine (1) Damyang Hwanho (11) Yeonggwang Seungni (2) Tuscarora Bill

Race 7: Class 5 / 1300M / Handicap / KRW 40 Million / 15:50
Three of these suffered narrow defeats in their last respective starts and they’ll be the ones favoured here. (2) CAPE MAGIC was just edged out by a nose over a mile on October 30th while (5) GEOWIUI KKUM dead-heated for 2nd, just half a length behind the winner over 1200M on October 28th, beating three others who go here. Meanwhile (4) GORYEOUI KKUM was beaten by less than a length at class and distance on October 21st when seeking what would have been his maiden win. Among the three, Cape Magic is slightly favoured to score here from a handy position behind the early speed. An unexpected winner at this class last time, (8) YOUARE THE CAPTAIN must be given respect here while the very experienced (3) NOLBEUN BEOL was an equally unlikely 2nd in an all-filly race at class and distance last month and she too will be fancied more today.
Selections: (2) Cape Magic (5) Geowiui Kkum (4) Goryeoui Kkum (8) Youare The Captain

Race 8: Class 3 / 1800M / Handicap / KRW 72 Million / 16:35
Thomas Gillespie’s (3) ACE SINHWA beat three of these when getting his second consecutive 2nd place over class and distance on October 9th and he’s the pick to go one better today. He should lead early and can go all the way. Peter Wolsley’s (4) WOOA was 3rd that day and can challenge again while (5) GOLD BLUE, 3rd over a mile last month can also be a danger from the front of the field. (7) KING THE GRAY, up in class and distance following his maiden win a month ago and (8) DASEOT ME, beaten by Ace Sinhwa and Wooa last time, look best of the rest.
Selections: (3) Ace Sinhwa (4) Wooa (5) Gold Blue (7) King The Gray

Race 9: Class 4 / 1200M / Handicap / KRW 55 Million / 17:00
Interesting race this and it’s tempting to go for the Korean-bred runners entered against the generally unknown imports. (10) DAEBOREUMDAL is yet to win in twenty but has a 2nd and two 3rd place finishes from his last three outings at domestic class 5 and could well make the breakthrough here. She does tend to go best at 1000M though. (2) SEUNGJEONPILSA is a proven winner and while he struggled at domestic class 4 last time out, should be better here. Among the imports, (3) VANJEFE is the most intriguing. He cost $50K last year but has taken a long time to get ready and looked promising in an October trial. The other debut-maker, (9) SUPER MATCH looked less impressive but will be backed due to being from the Kim Young Kwan stable. (4) BARAMUI HEUNJEOK and (6) GOLDEN QUEEN are others capable of placing.
Selections: (3) Vanjefe (10) Daeboreumdal (2) Seungjeonpilsa (9) Super Match

Race 10: Class 3 / 1400M / Handicap / KRW 72 Million / 17:30
Really competitive race here and Peter Wolsley’s (1) GIGA SPEED, 2nd over class and distance last time beating two of these as well as the very good Beolmaui Sin is favoured to score. (4) HWANGGEUM GEOTAP was a dominant five-length winner last start and is up in class today and sure to be a danger while (2) BLUE STORM was a winner at this class over 1200M on October 7th. He was scratched from a race two weeks ago with respiratory tract issues but if fit, goes well. (7) YESURI MYEONGUN returned from seven month absence to narrowly win a good race over 1200M on October 23rd and has to be considered today while the up in class (9) YEONGWON CHUKJE, looking for a hat-trick of wins, is another to consider.
Selections: (1) Giga Speed (4) Hwanggeum Geotap (9) Yeongwon Chukje (2) Blue Storm

Race 11: Class 1 / 1400M / Handicap / KRW 105 Million / 18:00
Another tricky one to finish with. The talented (6) EMETH returned from a lengthy spell out to put in a rather lacklustre performance last month. He clearly needed the race and should be a different prospect today. Pegasus Stables’ (5) BINGGORAGIO is back up to class 1 having got the better of (3) YUSEONG FIGHTING, among others, in a good race over this distance on October 28th. Both of them should be competitive here, the latter joining Emeth on the early speed. Expect plenty of support too for (7) BUGYEONG SIDAE who has been competitive against some of Busan’s best horses in recent outings and who should be much more comfortable with the company he is in today. (10) FERVENT STORM is up to class 1 for the first time following back to back narrow wins, both at this distance, and is the other one to consider.
Selections: (6) Emeth (7) Bugyeong Sidae (5) Binggoragio (3) Yuseong Fighting
