Saturday’s racing is at Seoul with 10 races from 10:35 to 17:55. here are the previews:

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

(7) NIGHT THUNDER and (1) SONGDANG FIRST both come from the Lee Kang-seo stable, and they are the only two horses in the field that have a won a trial. They both came from well back to score by narrow margins, Night Thunder on August 27 and Songdang First on August 6, and can both go close with the preference being for the former under Seo Seung-un however the latter will start favourite. (6) EVER WINNING comes from the Moon Se-young yard and attempted to lead throughout in her trial on August 20 when only beaten a narrow margin. (5) BEST LOVE has trialled once for a fourth whilst (11) SILVER WAVE, who is out Silver Wolf, and (8) HAKSAN SMARTY rate next whilst the Kozzi Asano ridden Tony Castanheira trained (2) SISILI was only seventh of nine in her trial but the jockey-trainer combination can never be denied.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(5) NURI YEOWANG came from last to run second on debut to a smart juvenile in Road To Champion, a subsequent winner last Sunday, at the end of June. If not getting too far out of her ground, she can go close to going one better. (6) BLUE ROSE is another that ran second on their debut with her run occurring only three weeks ago and this Lee Shin-woo trained filly has a good chance. Seo Seung-un is riding (7) RAON CHARIS GIRL who in another millimetre would have broken her maiden status on her debut on August 23, she was still five-lengths from the lead with 100M to go, and the extra furlong will help her cause very much. (4) SHARP GUY attempted to go with a smart one on debut and did not run badly and rates next over (9) WHITE STORM, a stablemate of Raon Charis Girl that made up a lot of ground in her trial back in June, and (11) SEVEN FORCE.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(6) GRAND POKPUNG is a two-year-old filly that has been close in each of her four runs including behind some of the better juveniles of the year so far in her earlier runs. She gets another chance to break her maiden in this and will be hard to beat. (7) THUNDER RUN is a Tony Castanheira trained three-year-old gelding that was stood down for two months after finishing a forty-two-and-a-quarter length last on April 19. He did however win a trial on August 6 so can be given a chance in this field. (11) LOVING PURPLE was going to be right in the finish before ducking in and out violently and subsequently parting company with her rider early in the home straight last start. She was stood down to trial twice and those two heats yielded fourth and second place finishes. (2) DONGBAEK has not been too far away and rates next over (9) SEOBU KING, which ran well last start behind a subsequent winner, (3) TWOTWO MAGIC and debutante (1) PARKA RACER.

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(4) CLUTCH WORLD ran a decent third on debut over this distance on August 23, only one-and-three-quarter lengths behind a subsequent winner and can be expected to go close to going a few places better for Kim Hyo-jung and Luigi Riccardi. (3) LOOM CHUKJE is a juvenile filly but gets into a maiden where she should be able to at least finish closer than what she has in three previous starts where her best effort has been a fifth, which was her last run. (8) BREEDO EPIC was a beaten odds-on favourite last start when stepping up to 1700M. Kozzi Asano once again rides and she is an interesting runner. (11) WONDERFUL DARSHAAN will do his best work late and is an each-way chance along with (1) DELTA CHOEGANG and (2) SPICE BAND with (10) GOLD STEP next best.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(5) POINT I comes off a three-length win at this grade over 1300M. She rises two-and-a-half kilograms and seven pounds for that win, which was her maiden victory at start five, but is a chance of going back-to-back. (4) STUNNING SKET also won at this grade last start by three-lengths, over this distance, and comes up four-and-a-half kilograms and nine pounds and will carry topweight. (8) BLAZING ENGINE was second two runs ago and that form would give him a chance. (3) MR. KAI comes up to this class for the first time after leading for most of the way to win his maiden last start and Seo Seung-un retains the ride. (6) THE SUN MONSTER is naught from seven but is an each-way chance along with (2) STUNNING SERVE.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(1) WHITE THUNDER finished midfield on debut but did much better at her second attempt when scoring by three-lengths over 1000M. Prior to making her debut she had trialled once for a second place to Beongae Lewis, which is subsequently unbeaten from three. The ability is there and jockey Kozzi Asano and trainer Choi Yong-geon can continue their excellent strike rate. (2) GEOLJAK TIARA has only missed the top five twice from ten runs and comes in with a good chance especially under a two-kilogram apprentice claim. (8) DELTA DAECHEON won her maiden over this distance two back, beating a subsequent winner, and either side of that score has chased home the talented Flying Smart so she is another with a strong each-way hope. (11) UNJU CLEAR is the interesting runner having her first race since March, she did finish second in a trial on August 20, with (5) VICAR DELLA another each-way chance over (7) GLOBAL LAND.

Seoul Race 7: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(8) GLORY JOY is still a maiden and is having his first run in seven months but has not been too far away and was only three-quarters of a length behind black type winner Raon Forest, who we see in the Jeju Governor’s Cup on Sunday, in a trial on August 27 so in a tricky race he is worth an investment under Johan Victoire. (9) CHEONG WOL is also consistent, and she has won a race and that was at big odds back in January. She has been kept safe by punters in each of her six subsequent attempts at Class 5 where she is yet to finish out of the top six and can go well once more and will likely start favourite. (7) BEST JOY is another one of the multiple each-way chances in the event along with (6) NAEGEROWAJWO, if he can race truly, with (4) THE SUN COMING a good chance and (5) CLOVER TOP next best.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(8) SHINING ROAD is a consistent gelding who has finished third in each of his last three runs over the course, distance, and grade behind a reopposing rival but also smart ones in Clutch Magic and Gwanaksan Sky. He has only won once but he will run his usual honest race and is worth an investment. (9) GLOBAL COMPUTING was ahead of Shining Road when he broke his maiden on July 26 but was also behind him at their previous start a month earlier. Seo Seung-un rides for the first time and he will be well fancied and is one of the principal runners. (6) FEDAYKIN comes up big in trip but should be given a decent chance. (7) BREEDO TROPHY was towards the rear last start but was not far away at his previous two runs at this class. (11) HIGH FOLLY and last start course, distance, and grade winner (10) INFINITE HONOR, who rises eight pounds and two-and-a-half kilograms on that score, rate next over (2) JISAN LABEL, which was a Class 5 victor last start.

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(3) GAMSAUI HIM was ridden by Kozzi Asano for the first time last start and he bounced back to form with a last stride victory over a subsequent winner. He is a smart type on his day as he ran a narrow second to Circle A earlier in the year and last start should have been a confidence booster. The last start for (6) JEONGSANG HERO should also have been a confidence booster as he bounced back to winning ways with a six-length win in what was the first ride on the horse for Andre da Silva. Such was the ease of that victory he carries a big weight for his first attempt at Class 3, but he will very much make his presence felt. (10) EAST BEACH has looked smart since wearing the blinkers with a six-length victory followed by two second places. He pulled too hard last time and the draw hurts, but he will run well. (4) VICTORY SOCKS is an each-way chance with the resuming (8) SLAM DRAGON and (7) DREAM HONOUR next best over (5) WHITE CARLA.

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(8) PANGPANG DAERO led throughout to score over the course, distance, and grade at her last performance a month ago. She rises seven pounds and two kilograms but will go close again. (5) FOREVER GIL has seven-and-a-half lengths to find with Pangpang Daero from that race on August 16, but she is never far away and will be around the mark once more. (11) RAON THE KEISHA was a winner at this grade in May and finished in the minor money behind Rooftop and Gwanaksan Rickey in January and Seo Seung-un rides. (6) HORIZON STAR was a better run at his second attempt at this level last start and is one of a host of other each-way chances that include (10) REVERENCE, (1) CYCLONE STAR and (2) BROWN MAMMA.
