We’re back to a fully daytime Saturday schedule and Seoul plays host to 10 races from 10:35 to 17:55. Here are the previews:

Seoul Race 1: Class 4 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million
(7) MIGHTY ROG led throughout in his one and only trial on August 6 for a seven-length win in smart time and this Seo Hong-soo trained son of Rogueish looks hard to beat based on that. (3) A.K JUN brings the best of the raced form following a fourth on debut prior to a second place one month ago. He has been behind some smart enough types and can run well in what is a winnable race for him if the trial form of Mighty Rog is not to turn out as good as it looks on paper. (8) GARAKAI has run once for a fourth and this is perhaps a tad easier so he can be close again. (2) STORM PETREL has trialled once for a twelve-and-three-quarter length eighth but coming from the Luigi Riccardi stable he should not be dismissed. (4) NAREUSYA LUCKY, which is the mount of Seo Seung-un, and (9) DREAM KNICKS, which has had one trial for a second beaten a nose, are far from hopeless whilst Ruan Maia and Lee Shin-woo combine with (5) SEJONG BISANG and Tony Castanheira prepares (10) TORRENS.
| Selections | (7) Mighty Rog (3) A.K Jun (8) Garakai (2) Storm Petrel |
| Next Best | 4, 9 |
| Fast Start | 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 |
Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
(1) HWANSANGUI LUNA has been a beaten favourite in two runs but has not been too far away in each. She was third on debut, after getting terribly upset in the gate, before a fifth most recently. From the low draw she can play a part with Furkan Yuksel riding after CC Wong and Seo Seung-un rode her in her first pair of runs. (4) SANGSANGSOKGEUDAE is a Nasca owned filly by 2012 Derby winner Jigeum I Sungan trained by Moon Byeong-ki who has trialled once for a fourth on August 6 and can be given a chance. (8) CITY OF DREAM was out the back on debut but was much better at her second run and Kozzi Asano riding for the first time is no disadvantage. (10) RAON POLIS should appreciate the extra furlong and gets Seo Seung-un to steer whilst (2) MYEONG POWERFUL, another Moon Byeong-ki prepared filly that has trialled once for a fourth, and (6) TUN TEJA, which is from the stables of Luigi Riccardi, rate next.
| Selections | (1) Hwansangui Luna (4) Sangsangsokgeudae (8) City Of Dream (10) Raon Polis |
| Next Best | 2, 6 |
| Fast Start | 1, 3, 7, 8 |
Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(1) DANAEUN RUBY has produced the best two efforts of her career to date at each of her last two starts and with the lowest weight in the field, thanks to a one-kilogram claim from top apprentice Woo In-cheol, she can prove hard to pass. (9) AREUMDAUN BIT was ridden for the first time by Seo Seung-un last start, and she came the closest she has come to winning so far with a second. Seo retains the mount and she will be well fancied and can go close. (10) ECLAIR WIND came from well back to pass all her rivals bar the winner, which scored by ten-lengths, two back and has got the most consistent record in the field so that is enough to rate her as a decent chance. (6) SKYLOR TAEHA, (8) EUNHA KALAS and (7) ONLY YOU rate next.
| Selections | (1) Danaeun Ruby (9) Areumdaun Bit (10) Eclair Wind (6) Skylor Taeha |
| Next Best | 8, 7 |
| Fast Start | 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 |
Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(10) JEJU BLUE has arguably got the most consistent record in the race with a sixth, a second, a fifth, and a third from four runs so far. She rates as a strong each-way chance in what looks a winnable race. (11) DAREURI YEOWANG comes off the worst run of her career result wise when finishing eighth of ten last start as favourite but margins wise it was the closest she has come so she should not be written off. (2) SEMYEONG CROW was seventh on debut but has since been fourth in two subsequent runs and rates as a hope with Johan Victoire. (3) ILGEUP BISUL came from well back for second last start and that sort of form gives her a good chance, she will likely start as the popular pick, with (9) GLOBAL DINO, which Seo Seung-un rides, and (5) WALLSTREET next best.
| Selections | (10) Jeju Blue (11) Dareuri Yeowang (2) Semyeong Crow (3) Ilgeup Bisul |
| Next Best | 9, 5 |
| Fast Start | 3, 8, 9, 10, 11 |
Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(3) K SOCKS made up good ground on debut for a midfield finish before appreciating the extra furlong last start when breaking through at the second time of asking. The extra half-furlong will not hurt, and this Luigi Riccardi trained two-year-old colt will be hard to beat under Kim Hyo-jung and he may start at value. (1) CHOWOLMA led throughout to win his maiden easily six runs ago and in five runs at this class has been close on each occasion and can run well again. (6) COMPLETE FUTURE was fifth when running at this grade for the first time most recently following his maiden win and can be around the mark with (9) WHIZ DREAM, which won on debut but has struggled since, next best over last start course, distance, and grade winner (10) SUNGANUI FIGHTER, which rises six pounds and four kilograms on that success, (2) INSPIRE and (4) BREEDO GALAXY.
| Selections | (3) K Socks (1) Chowolma (6) Complete Future (9) Whiz Dream |
| Next Best | 10, 2 |
| Fast Start | 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11 |
Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(1) MIGHTY CRIS has had one start over this distance previously and that produced a second beaten just three-quarters of a length by Valid Young, which is a decent type and has won subsequently, so that form from three runs ago gives him a strong chance and he will start at decent odds. (4) BLACK SUN ran Flying Smart, also a subsequent winner, to the same margin three runs ago and that run promoted her to this class where she has been fifth in two attempts to date. (2) SINHAN ACE has been third in two of her past four, and this is arguably a more winnable Class 5 than her last couple of runs. (9) JECHUK SANJIRO was two-and-a-half lengths behind Sinhan Ace when running at this level for the first time last start but has some ability and he may very well start as favourite for Ruan Maia and Lee Shin-woo with (8) TIGER REVENGER and (10) ECLIPSE BAY, the respective mounts of Furkan Yüksel and Seo Seung-un, next best in a tricky one to decipher.
| Selections | (1) Mighty Cris (4) Black Sun (2) Sinhan Ace (9) Jechuk Sanjiro |
| Next Best | 8, 10 |
| Fast Start | 5, 9, 10, 11 |
Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(7) THE SUN STORY has been an impressive winner of her last three starts and had no issues when stepping up to this distance range last start. She comes up to Class 4 grade for the first time, but she is progressive and can be expected to go close to completing the four-timer. (5) BYEOLKONG comes off a last start course, distance, and grade victory in a race that overall was much stronger than this. He comes down in weight by one kilogram as well as four-kilogram apprentice Jo Seong-hwan takes the ride. If The Sun Story is not to win then Byeolkong can surely complete back-to-back victories. There are a few each-way and place chances, and they include (3) GANGCHEOL JEONSA, (4) BEOLGYO NAKSEONG and (1) MY THERN, who ran Derby fifth placegetter and subsequent winner Concord Codie to a neck two back and has Seo Seung-un to ride, along with (9) PICTURE amongst others.
| Selections | (7) The Sun Story (5) Byeolkong (3) Gangcheol Jeonsa (4) Beolgyo Nakseong |
| Next Best | 1, 9 |
| Fast Start | 1, 2, 7, 9, 11 |
Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(6) BEONGAE LEWIS is a Tony Castanheira trained three-year-old colt that is unbeaten from two starts following six and four-lengths victories from on-pace roles which followed a trial victory by twelve-lengths. He looks very smart and whilst he is going up in grade rapidly, as well as up in trip by another furlong, he should complete the hat-trick. (4) MIGHTY BEAT is a consistent type that is having his first run since May but did trial a month ago running a two-and-a-half length third and can run well first-up. (10) REFLECT is another consistent one although he was a beaten favourite last start in a race that he looked to have at his mercy on paper. The draw very much hurts but he should not be far away whilst (9) LOVE O MINE continues to finish just behind the placegetters and a similar effort would be a par result for her in this. (7) RAON THE BELMONT and (3) CHANG CHANG SOCKS rate next.
| Selections | (6) Beongae Lewis (4) Mighty Beat (10) Reflect (9) Love O Mine |
| Next Best | 7, 3 |
| Fast Start | 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 |
Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(4) GOLD CATCHER was able to lead and win five runs back over 1400M before making a bit of a habit of leading everywhere bar the line at her next couple of runs over the same distance. She was then outclassed over 1600M in the Group Three KNN Cup, against the best fillies and mares in the country, being last throughout but was a good run when resuming over this shorter distance when being beaten narrowly by the smart Maeum Hana. She will be up there vying for the lead and over this 1200M trip can stay there. (3) ROYAL BEST recorded consecutive victories at Class 5 and 4 level four and three runs back but has found things harder under bigger weights at his last two. By coming up to Class 3 he only carries fifty-one kilograms and that can make him competitive. (9) GLOBAL SERVE won over this distance three weeks ago at Class 4 and with Kozzi Asano riding again he must be respected whilst (10) ROOFTOP has been a bit hard to catch of late but regardless of that he should not be denied a chance. (5) EAST GANGJEOK chased home two smart ones at big odds when resuming and on that run is worth an each-way investment if forgotten about in the market with (6) WORLD SHANNONS next best.
| Selections | (4) Gold Catcher (3) Royal Best (9) Global Serve (10) Rooftop |
| Next Best | 5, 6 |
| Fast Start | 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 |
Seoul Race 10: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million
(5) CONCORD BLUE comes back in trip by a furlong but that should not stop him from going close to completing the hat-trick. He has always looked smart but particular in his last two starts where he has won 1400M Class 4 and 3 events by ten-lengths and a soft two-lengths, respectively. Ruan Maia has ridden him on each of those occasions, and they can complete three in a row here. (6) CRAZY STAR bounced back to form last start with a victory over this distance at Class 3. He will need to be on the speed as he cannot manage kickback but if he is then the Australian bred gelding can give them something to chase. If you were surprised to see Concord Blue dropping back to 1200M that is nothing compared to the drop in trip for (7) GENERAL WIND who has looked a decent miler or stayer but cuts right back in distance for this assignment. He did too much work when unable to lead two back, but his only below par efforts prior had been in two legs of the Triple Crown. He bounced back with a four-length front-running 1800M Class 3 success last start and if he is quick enough for the six furlongs, which must be a question, he can go close. (4) JANGBI DAEUN is an enthralling runner with the rest headed by (9) DRONE KILLER, which Kozzi Asano retains the ride on following riding him for the first time last start which resulted in a second, and (3) THUNDER DREAM, who was third to Hansen Bracing over the course, distance, and grade two runs ago.
| Selections | (5) Concord Blue (6) Crazy Star (7) General Wind (4) Jangbi Daeun |
| Next Best | 9, 3 |
| Fast Start | 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 10 |
