Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Ten previously unraced juveniles so we must head to the trial videos. (6) REVERENCE trailed up in 3^rd place in a fair time behind two experienced racehorses, showing close to the pace. Moon Se-young is on and that will be enough for plenty. The curiously named (1) WONPYEONG SKET went through two trials, winning the first at the start of May and then finishing back in a second from a wide draw. From the inside gate we can be expecting more of the former here. (10) GEOSEN MUJEOK ran on well for 4^th in his heat in the same time as Reverence and can go well first-up. (4) STORM TROOPER and (8) BLISS STAR others who hinted at ability in their heats.

Soul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only in this maiden. Five months after her debut, (3) PINE PINK returned to run 2^nd at this distance on May 18^th, settling midfield and running on. She was well beaten by a good winner but should stirp fitter for that run and can go one better. (9) GWANAKSAN JOY has five top four finishes from six starts including her latest when she led over 1200M. She’ll lead again here and once more can be in it a long way. (8) FOX TROT was last seen running an improved 3^rd place in a similar race to this. She is in fresh from eight weeks off and can match or better that today. (6) SEMYEONG GHOST and (7) HYEWONYONGMA are others who can be in the mix.

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(6) DAEWONYONGMA is yet to win in fifteen attempts, but his recent form reads well with a 2^nd and a 4^th in two tries since coming up to this class. In this company he should be on pace and he can be in the finish.  (4) P N S OHOH returned from exactly a year out to win at this distance on June 8^th, settling handy and proving too strong. He is up in class here but is down in weight and if anything should strip fitter for that run and can measure up. (1) CHEONGONGUI SEOM returned to action on June 6^th for the first time since last September and, having won a trial, was sent off as favourite over 1400M and proceeded to lead early but weakened late on. He should have come on for that run, he drops back in trip, draws well, and can go much better here. (11) BREEDO KING STAR and (3) TUAREG NINE are others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(8) CHOEGANG SPEED was a winner at start number three over 1200M in May and then followed up with 2^nd place on his first try at this class over 1300M on June 8^th when coming from well off the place. He comes up in weight, but CC stays on, and the slight step up in trip can suit. (5) BURUI SEGYE took a few more goes to figure things out but comes up in class following an 2^nd place and then a win in his latest two the former at this distance. He is up in class but down 3kg in weight and can continue his good run of form here. (2) MEGA STEP came from well back to run 2^nd at this class over 1300M on May 25^th and can be running on strong late again here. (6) STUNNING STEP and (4) MINT PLAY among other placing chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(8) BITNARA has run 3^rd in both his latest two at 1300M and 1400M, racing close to the pace both times. He can be on pace here again and is favoured to go one better against this set of opposition. (9) SEOUL NONGBU has a 5^th and a 4^th from his two outings so far, most recently at this distance in a very slow race on March 30^th. He comes in fresh after thirteen weeks out and can go closer. (4) RAON THE BELMONT came home in 3^rd place on his latest start on May 18^th despite racing ungenerously for much of the way. He was sent back to trial as a result and having come through that well, with better manners here, he can be a threat. (2) BULGUKSIDAE and (6) X FACTOR others in the frame.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Not the strongest of maidens. (10) MALSGO comes in off a best to date 2^nd place on May 24^th over this distance when handy throughout. He is the only one in the field to have placed – he has done it twice – and despite the wide draw he should have enough about him to get to the speed and win. (5) GOLD SPINNING was an improved 4^th at start four over 1200M on May 11^th and can continue to make progress here. (2) GANGCHEOL POWER comes back in trip after recent efforts at further including two 4^th places form his latest four and that’s enough to put him in the placing mix here. (7) ROAD TO SPEAR and (4) BLUE DRAGON others who could feature.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Small but quite competitive field. (3) HEEMANGBAND has recorded her best results so far since stepping up to this distance with a 2^nd and a 3^rd from her latest two. She likes to settle back and run on and with Moon Se-young aboard for the first time, today can be the day. (4) SEUNGNI BAROWS enters off back-to-back 3^rd places over 1400M, coming from off the pace both times. He steps up to two turns for the first time and it can suit. (6) BLUE SUN has two 5^th places and a 3^rd from his three outings to date. He too comes up to this trip for the first time and can be a danger late on. (7) BLACK SMILE and (8) TTOSUNI SEOUL need lines through their respective latest outings but can be in the placing frame.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(4) DRAGON KILLER is yet to win in four attempts but has never finished any worse than 3^rd. That’s where he finished on his first try at this class over 1300M on June 1^st having led for part of the way around, and he has every chance here. (11) WESTERN GUN has mixed his form across six starts so far with three strong performances and three somewhat less so. He hasn’t raced at this trip before but looks worth a chance in this company. (3) JOSE was an all the way maiden winner on June 6^th at this class and distance. She is up 2.5kg in weight, but that’s balanced by a good draw, and she can be a danger again. (7) GOOD FIGHTER and (2) GEOSEON POKJU others to consider.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Juveniles with eight of the ten racing for the first time. Pegasus Farm’s Air Force Blue is an exciting addition to the stallion ranks and their home bred (5) AIRFORCEONE makes his debut here. He looked very assured when comfortably winning a trail on May 29^th from the front and if he brings that form to the races, he will be hard to beat. (10) JILPUNGA rana fair 5^th on debut on May 31^st. The time wasn’t quick, but the actual race experience should be beneficial, and he can improve here. (1) ANYANGBITCHUISOKDO ran 2^nd in his trial and from the inside gate can be on pace and put in a bold showing. (2) MADE and (3) SAENAE FIGHTER others who hinted at ability in trials.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies only in this maiden. (9) GLORY QUEEN was 2^nd when sent off as favourite over this distance on May 11^th, continuing a run of positive efforts. She laid out for part of the race to the extent she got sent back to trial, but if she can behave herself today, she should go one better. (3) NESSUN DORMA raced three times last year with a best of 4^th. She’s not raced since last September but she looked very well when 2^nd in a May trial (beating Glory Queen) and if she brings that form to the races, she can be a danger first-up. (2) JISAN FRIEND has hinted at ability across her four starts so far and drawn well, she should be at least a place chance. (4) SEOHAE BADA and debut-maker (10) SONGDANG PARTY others who could have a say.

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Could today finally be the day for (7) MIGHTY BOM? He has placed ten times without winning including last time out when 2^nd at this class and distance on May 25^th, coming from off the pace. An apprentice keeps his weight low, and he has as good a chance as any. (4) WANGCHOEGO is also a maiden but comes in after a sharp class and distance 2^nd on May 10^th and should be in the mix again. (8) WONDERFUL TECHNO races for the first time since getting his maiden win at 1700M last July and a chip fracture. He has been in and out of work since February but got his act together finally with a solid trail win last Thursday. So long as he didn’t leave his race there, he can go well first up. (6) CALIPH and (10) ARCH DAY, the latter needing a line through his latest, others in the frame.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(11) CYCLONE STAR has won his latest two, both over this distance, and most recently at this class on April 26^th when settling midfield and running on. He comes up 3kg in weight, and has the challenge of the widest gate, but a hat-trick can’t be ruled out. (2) STUNNING WORLD is yet to win in seven attempts but has been getting ever closer, culminating in a 2^nd place over 1300M on May 18^th. That brings her up in class here, but she comes down in weight, she draws well, and she can measure up. (5) FLYING CONCORD returned nine months after his debut to win at this distance on April 20^th. He is up in class but down in weight and if anything, should strip fitter for that April run. (1) ECLIPSE LUCKY and (10) DUSON EUTTEUM others who can challenge.

Seoul Race 5: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(10) LOVE SCARLET debuted all the way back in January 2024 but then didn’t appear again this March. She has a 4^th and a 2^nd in two starts back, both at this distance and most recently on April 6^th, coming from off the pace. She has had a further ten weeks off since, but the wide draw shouldn’t be a problem, and she can be a big danger late here. (2) PERFECT DANAEUN has mixed his form across five starts so far with his best being a 4^th. He races for the first time since March but looked sensational when winning a trial at the end of May, leading all the way and stopping the clock in a fast time, many lengths to the good. So long as she didn’t leave her race there, she has every chance. There is one first-timer. (5) SILLAUI FIGHTER posted a fair time in his trial and with Moon Se-young booked will have backers. (1) HAEMAJI and (9) CLAIR BIG BANG other place chances.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

The second division of the 1300M maiden. It’s hard to go past (2) DONGJIN THUNDER here. She has a best of 2^nd from six starts recorded at this distance three outings back when setting a time considerably quicker than any of the others have achieved. She draws nicely to be on pace, and she will take some beating. (10) BEST JOY did nothing on debut last August after which he was put away and gelded. He has been back in training for a couple of months and looked a totally different prospect when 2^nd in a May trial. He can go well first-up here. (9) NAEGEROWAJWO was an improved 4^th last time out and can maintain that momentum in this modest company. (1) HERO GOLD and (4) SOMETHING DARK others in the placing frame.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(3) BLACK SATANG has a 3^rd and a 2^nd from two starts so far, the latter being a close reverse at this distance on June 1^st. She makes a quick return here, third-up she can be peaking fitness wise, and she can go one better. (5) EUNPA SWEET stepped up to this distance at start five on May 18^th and came from off the pace to beat three of today’s rivals on her way to a best to date 3^rd. She should have benefited from that experience and can go even closer today.  (9) DYNAMIC SONG was 5^th in that same race and can similarly aim to get a bit nearer here. (1) ECLIPSE TANGO and (4) COMMANDING LEAD others who can be backed on a place line.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Fillies only here. (5) CHARMING QUEEN ran 2^nd on debut in April before getting her maiden win at start number two over this distance on May 11^th, settling midfield before striking the front just over a furlong out and winning by plenty. She is up in class but down in weight and she can win again. It’s been a long time since (7) YEOWANG SOCKS got her sole win, but her recent form reads well and going on her last start 3^rd place over 1400M, she should be in this from on the pace. (4) VIVA CHEONGSU came from well back to run 3^rd last time out at class and distance and should be in the mix again. (9) RAON THE AFFIRMED and up in class (2) SONEULNAEMILEO others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Just 9-races for Saturdays and Sundays at Seoul in June. The 1st is at 10:35 and the last at 18:00. Here are the previews:

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

A few of these look ready to win, chief among them (1) DOUBLE NINE, who enters off a close 3^rd at this distance on May 3^rd when he led for most of the way. He draws very well to lead again, CC gets on abord for the first time, and he can win. (4) JEULGEOUN SANGSANG was one of a couple of these who finished ahead of Double Nine back in February and comes in following a 2^nd place at 1300M on May 10^th. He was well beaten by a good winner and in this company can sit handy to the speed and finish strongly. (5) EAST SKY has a 2^nd and a 3^rd from his latest two – the former beating both Double Nine and Jeulgeoun Sangsang – and he can be in the mix again. (6) BURUI SEGYE and (2) SEMYEONG GHOST the other place chances.  

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only in this maiden. (8) ALIFER took a couple of goes to figure things out but has a 3^rd and a 4^th from her latest two, both at this distance and both times racing just behind the speed. In this company, she should be on pace again and has as good a chance as any. She will need to overturn the form on (6) SWITCH POWER, who was 3^rd to Alifer’s 4^th on May 10^th. While yet to finish in the top two, Switch Power has five top five finishes and should be close again. (10) GOLD CATCHER was a fair 4^th over 1200M on debut in April and stripping fitter and stepping up slightly in trip, may make for some interest at an each-way price. (7) YEOMYEONGUI SUNGAN and (9) CHEONGHAE STAR others to consider.

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(9) WESTERN GUN was an also-ran in Seoul’s Classic Trial in February, after which he was moved stables and following almost two months out, returned for a front-running 2^nd at this class and distance on April 19^th. That Classic Trial was the only time he has missed the top two over 1400M and with Moon Se-young staying on, he can return to winning ways. (1) MINT PLAY got her maiden win at the twenty-fourth time of asking at this class and distance May 5^th racing on pace throughout. She comes up 2.5kg in weights but shouldn’t be dismissed from a good draw. (4) LOTUSMIREU is yet to win in eighteen tries but recent form reads well with a last start 2^nd, and she should be there or thereabouts again. (6) CHEONGONGUI SEOM hasn’t raced since winning at start three last September, but he looked well winning a trial a month ago and he should be on pace and in this a long way. (10) SWEET SONG another on the hunt.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(1) MUNHAK BELL is yet to score in four attempts but has a 2^nd and two 3^rd place finishes, all over this distance. That has earned him a rating and brings him up in class, but he is down in weight, he draws well and today can be his day. (6) FLYING LION took thirteen goes to get her breakthrough but she seemed to enjoy it as just two starts later she got another, the latter at this class and distance on May 3^rd when settling midfield and running on. She comes up 2.5kg in weight but a repeat can’t be ruled out. (9) MG FIRST led for much of the way around over 1400M last time out, ultimately coming home in 3^rd. That was back in February so he comes in after seventeen weeks off and while up in class, he is down in weight and can measure up. (10) CAPTURE and (3) CHROMITE others in line for the minors.

Seoul Race 5: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
