Sunday’s racing is at Seoul (10 races from 10:35 to 17:55) and Busan (7 races from 11:25 to 16:55). Here are the previews:

Ziggurat returns to action having won last September’s Listed Ilgan Sports (Pic: KRA)

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(3) YUKWAEHAN SEUNGJA has raced three times for three 4th place finishes at 1000M and 1200M, settling back and running on each time. She draws nicely here, Kozzi gets on for the first time, and in this company, she can be winning. (6) NOBLE MATCH was a fair 6th on debut over this distance on December 12th having shown on pace throughout. She’ll be on pace again and can be in this for longer. (11) EODIGADO was an improved 4th at start number three over this distance on December 13th when coming from well off the pace. Maia stays on and they can get even closer today. (1) NIGHT CAPTAIN and sole debut-maker (7) CHRYSOL HEELS are others to look out for on a place line.

(3) LOVE IN SEOUL was ordinary on debut but was a much-improved 4th at start number two over this distance on December 6th when she showed on pace throughout. Third up she can be peaking fitness-wise, and she looks to be the one to beat. (4) RAON FLARE raced on pace for the first time on December 6th over this distance and she stayed on well to run 2nd. The time wasn’t quick but expect similar tactics today and she can be in this a long way. (9) MR.CREDIT enters off a 3rd place at 1200M when settling midfield and running on and Maia climbing up today can be a plus. (6) CHEONGSAN MUSA and (2) FANTASTIC BRO others in the hunt.

(3) BORYEONG ULTRA MAN put in a disappointing effort when favourite over 1300M on January 4th when jumping inward and then getting caught in kickback which he seemed to resent. Prior to that, he had a 3rd and a 2nd and from a good draw and with Seo Seung-un booked, today can be the day. (5) QUEEN THE GOLD hasn’t finished in the top two in sixteen starts but she comes in following a 3rd and a 4th in her latest two and in this company should be aiming for career best finish. (1) STRONG WINNER trialed well and while he only managed 7th of ten on debut, he beat two of today’s rivals and comes into a much better gate this time. (2) CHOEGANG HAPPY and (10) SEOGWI CHOWON are the others in the hunt.

(5) POWER BEST has made steady progress across four starts so far, culminating in a 2nd place at this distance on December 28th when racing much further forward than in previous efforts. Expect similar tactics today, and he can go one better. (8) BLACK PEPE has a 3rd and two 4th places from his latest three. He too should be on pace and can be in this a long way. (2) PNS WORK and (7) WADALBI both improved to 3rd place on their respective latest outings and both can be there or thereabouts again. (4) JEJU PRINCESS came from off the pace to run 7th on debut over 1200M. She comes into a better gate today, and she should have come on for the run.

(8) OASIS ADELE will be a short price favourite here. Across his four starts to date he has been working towards a win with a 3rd place and a 2nd place from his latest two at a mile and at 1400M and both times beating some of today’s rivals. In this company, he should be on or close to the pace and he won’t need to improve much, if at all, to win. (2) VORTEX stepped up to the mile for the first time on December 12th and recorded his best finish to date with 2nd place, coming from midfield. He can build on that here and be in the finish again. (11) MOTHER WONDERFUL was 6th behind Oasis Adele last time out but prior to that was 2nd over 1400M and while she has the widest gate, she also gets a 4kg apprentice claim here. (6) TOP OF THE RANK and (7) YURIM SPECIAL are the other place chances.

(1) STUNNING PEARL returns to action for the first time since running 3rd at this class over 1200M in August, prior to which she was a very narrow 2nd. She trialed up nicely just before Christmas, and with Maia aboard, if she brings that form to the races, she can go very well first up. (10) GEOLJAK TIARA got her maiden win at start number four over 1300M on December 6th when on pace throughout. She comes up in class and slightly up in trip here but can be equal to both and under a light weight, she has every chance. (11) CHRYSOL STEP is yet to win but is up in class following back-to-back runner-up finishes at 1200M, beaten by the favourite on both occasions. He comes down 3kg in weight and can measure up in this company. (6) ECLIPSE TANGO and (8) GRAND KWAEMA are the other main chances.

Seoul Saturday: Race-By-Race Preview (January 17)

There are 11 races at Seoul on Saturday from 10:35 to 18:00. Here are the previews:

CC Wong (right) has a very good book of rides across Saturday and Sunday (Pic: KRA)

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Three-year-old maidens with nine of the twelve racing for the first time. (12) FLYING HONOR qualified in November but went through another trial on December 18th running a close 2nd in a quick time. He has the challenge of the widest gate but if he brings that form to the races, he is a winning chance. The experience is quite good though. (4) ECLIPSE BOSS ran 3rd on debut over this distance on November 29th, settling midfield from the widest gate and running on. He should have come on for the experience. So too should (6) HAKSAN HENNY and (5) ONNURI BIT, who finished 4th and 5th in their respective first outings and can build on that here. Returning to the first timers (1) PEGASUS KING went through a couple of trials, improving significantly in the second of them on December 18th and he should be nice and fit for this.

Not the greatest of maidens. After winning a trial, (3) MAEUM HANA was sent off as favourite on debut over this distance on December 14th but while he showed close to the pace he ran out of steam and finished 6th. He should have derived benefit from that and can stay on this time. (11) YONGBIGYO was similarly a beaten favourite when 6th over this distance two weeks ago. She has a 3rd and a 4th on her resume already and that’s enough to make her the danger here. Solitary debut maker (1) DRAGON MIJIN trialed up fairly, showing on pace and running 4th. He can lead here and be in things a long way. (10) SUNGANUI FIGHTER and (8) AESUNI others who can improve.

(6) GLOBAL LAND was 5th on debut and then 3rd at start number two over 1200M on December 14th. Both times she has run on well from a long way back so the step up in trip can suit, and she is the one to beat here. (10) EUNPA BOOSTER enters off his best to date when 2nd at 1300M on December 20th when leading for much of the way and only being narrowly beaten. He steps up to 1400M for the first time and should be on pace. (7) BEST JOY was 6th behind Eunpa Booster in that December 20th race. That was his first start since running 4th back in June and he should strip fitter for the run. (3) K SIMON and (9) GRAY PHANTOM other place chances.

(5) HWANG GEUM EO JANG was a winner on debut over 1200M on December 6th, settling midfield and proving too strong. Je comes up in class and in trip, but he is down in weight and he can win again. (8) NUNI OLKKAYO won at start two over 1200M in November and then almost repeated the trick when leading for much of the way on his first try at this class and distance on December 13th, ultimately finishing 2nd. He only comes up 1kg in weight, can lead again, and he could go one better. (9) MIRACLE SOCKS couldn’t quite provide the fairytale ending to jockey Park Tae-jong’s career on December 21st when he got caught late on. That made for his fourth consecutive runner-up finish, and he can be in the finish again. (4) ROAD TO STAR and (2) TAEGISAN KING are the other chances.

(4) APATEU had a poor day at the office on second favourite over 1300M on December 21st, finding a handy but wide position from a wide draw and not running on. She comes into a better gate today and is back at the distance at which she got her sole win so far, and she can be given another chance. (10) WIDAEHAN HAMSEONG is still a maiden after five starts but ran 2nd to Apateu at class 6 two starts back and was then 4th on his first try at this class over 1300M. He is the main danger here. (8) UJU JEONJAENG comes back to this trip for the first time in a while and that can bring him into contention. (1) SAEROUN GUY and (9) ROAD TO A SPUR, the latter having trialed well since his latest start, are among others to consider on a place line.

Seoul & Busan Sunday: Race-By-Race Preview (January 11)

Sunday’s racing is at Seoul with 10 races from 10:35 to 17:55, and at Busan with 7 races from 11:25 to 16:55. Here are the previews:

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(4) SEOPOKCHAT was ordinary on debut but a much-improved 4th at start number two over this distance on December 14th when coming from off the pace. He should be peaking fitness wise for this, and he can win. (7) MISS CHRISTIE weakened having set a strong pace on debut over this distance on December 13th. She previously ran well in a trial and is worth another chance with an experienced jockey up. (2) M.J. VICTORY was a solid 4th on debut in a filly only maiden on December 27th. She should have come on for that run and makes a quick return here. There are three first time starters and based on trials, (3) EVER THE GLORY is perhaps the most likely to make an immediate impact. Among the rest of the experience, (5) BEST URBANE the best chance of improving.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(1) CHOWOLMA returned from ten months out to run 4th over this distance on November 8th, showing handy throughout. He has had another nine weeks off but should strip fitter for that run and if he holds his form, he is the one to beat. Clear second pick is (8) TTOSUNI SEOUL. She enters off her best finish to date when 2nd at this distance on December 14th, settling midfield and running on, and a similar effort will see her firmly in this. (2) GAPJAENGI has hinted at ability across three outings with his latest a close 5th at 1200M on December 13th. He has finished off his races well and the slight step up in trip can suit. (4) LOVERMAN and (10) QUERENCIA are the other place chances.

(9) TRICK SHOT led for part of the way around over this distance on December 5th, ultimately finishing in 2nd place. He had an even wider draw that day and if he can get an early lead, this lot shouldn’t be able to pass him. (11) MAGIC HAMMER was 3rd on debut all the way back in April and then didn’t return until December 12th when he was 4th at this trip. The same apprentice keeps his weight light, and he can strip fitter for that run. (7) PERFECT FLASH was an on-pace 4th on debut on November 21st. He too can show some natural improvement and get closer today. (1) WIND SWORD and (5) WONDERFUL PREACH others who can challenge for the places.

(7) AMOS CHEONHA was a winner on debut over 1200M in November and followed up with a 3rd place on his first try at this class at 1300M on December 13th when he was slow away but ran on well. With a better start, he should have too much here. After winning on debut, (2) GWANAKSAN CHAMP went around in the Listed NACF Chairman’s Trophy and G2 Breeders’ Cup Rookie, finishing slightly worse than halfway down the field on both. He returns to much more amenable company today and can be a threat. (3) ALIFER got her maiden win at 1300M in September and most recently ran 2nd on her first try at this distance eon December 6th when leading close to the line. She can be on pace and in this a long way. (4) BISANG BELL and (8) TRIPLE JENNY others in the hunt.

(7) SHACKLE TOWN led all the way on debut to record a facile eight-length win over 1200M. She comes up in class and in trip today, but the manner of that win suggests that there is more to come, and she will be favoured to maintain her 100% record. The danger is (1) OASIS WICKY. While he hasn’t managed to repeat the win he scored on debut in five subsequent attempts, he has been close with a 3rd and most recently a 2nd place on December 14th at this class and distance when almost getting up. He carries his fair share of weight but draws well on the inside and shouldn’t be far away. (8) BLUE HUNTER won at start two in November and then ran 2nd at this class and distance on December 7th. An apprentice means she has a very light weight and if she gets a lead, things could get interesting. (5) SUN JAE and (3) DORAON SAMSON the other minor chances.

(2) MYEONG POWER returned from five months out to run 3rd at this class over 1700M. He was going well before the layoff too and stripping fitter for that run a month ago, his first try at 1800M can be profitable. This is a decent race for the level though with most entering off good results. (9) HWANSANGUI NARA won her maiden victory two starts back before finishing 2nd over 1400M on her first try at this level on November 29th. She steps up to two turns for the first time but has every chance of being competitive. (10) CHOCOLATE is up in class and in distance having won at 1400M on December 6th. He too should have the tools to be a danger at this level. (5) TAENGGEURI and (7) GANGCHEOL POWER, the latter a last start surprise winner at this class and distance, are among plenty of others to consider.

(5) GOOGLE CAR used up plenty of energy from a wide draw when well fancied last time, ultimately finishing in 6th place. Prior to that he only very narrowly missed out when 2nd at this class over 1200M. He comes into a better gate today and with Seo Seung-un on, today can be the day for the only colt in the race. (6) ARI DRAGON was a winner on debut in late June before running 2nd in a filly only race at this class over 1400M in July. She hasn’t raced since but looked well in a trial at the end of November, and she can put in a bold showing here. (3) HOLIDAY QUEEN has a 2nd and a 4th from her latest two at 1200M and 1400M, both at this class. She is under a light weight today and having drawn well, she can place. (4) LOILOI and (7) SINCHEON FREEDOM the other minor money chances.

Seoul Saturday: Race-By-Race Preview (January 10)

The forecast snow didn’t arrive with warm temperatures overnight but it is a damp Saturday morning in Seoul where there are 11 races from 10:35 to 18:00. Here are the previews:

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Three-year-old maidens with four of the nine racing for the first time and with the exposed form not being impressive, two first timer starters will top the market. (7) CONCORD BLUE was a front-running trial winner, stopping the clock in a quick time. If he brings that form to the races, he will win. (1) SEOUL BIHAENG posted an even quicker time the same day, albeit well back in 6th place. Nevertheless, he showed enough to suggest he has some ability and should be the main danger. (8) MR. KAI didn’t do much on debut but has since won a trial and should improve here. (5) GEUMA ON POINT and (9) BEOLGYO EMPEROR the others with experience who are perhaps the most likely to improve.

Three-year-old imported maidens with six of the ten racing for the first time. (3) PARISUI BULKKOT didn’t manage to qualify last July but caught the eye when tried again in November, winning his heat in a quick time, leading all the way, and with a couple of today’s rivals behind him. If he runs like that here, he can win. One of these behind him that day was (8) TAEKWON V. He trialed once more after that and then debuted on December 21st, running fairly for 5th of twelve over 1200M. He should have come on for that and is the danger. (7) MUCHO MACHO RAPIDO was a touch below expectations on debut having previously won a trial but is worth another chance here. (4) FIVE STAR was 3rd in that December 14th race, having come from well off the pace. That was his first try at this distance and it seemed to suit, and he can be finishing strongly again. (3) PNS GONGJA returned from five months out to run 3rd at 1200M on December 13th. He should have come on for that run and can be in the finish here. (6) TIGER BULPAE has a 3rd and a 2nd from two starts so far, most recently when racing handy over 1200M on December 7th. In this field she’ll be on pace and she will be favoured to go one better today. The solitary debut-maker (10) SUNGLASS may prove to be the biggest danger. It took her three trials to qualify but she ultimately did it in fine style, leading all the way in an early December heat. She has the challenge of a wide draw, but if she brings that form to the races, she has a real chance. The slight step up in trip again can suit and he won’t need to improve much to win this. (4) BEST FREEDOM was well beaten by Unju Prince at the end of November but has since run again for a decent midfield finish. He draws well to lead and can be in this a long way. (1) KIA ORA returned form five months out and was a significantly improved 3rd over this distance on November 9th. She can have come on for that run and be in the finish again. He comes into a great gate, Tanaka stays on, and he should win. (3) SOMETHING ELSE debuted in 4th place all the way back in June. He didn’t reappear until December 5th, but it was a solid return in 3rd place over 1300M, albeit a long way behind a good winner. He can strip fitter here and be close. His best was 2nd three outings back at the star or November but Seo Seung-un climbing up for the first time catches the eye and is enough to put him on top. (3) CAPTAIN WARRIOR has raced twice for 6th and 4th at 1000M and 1200M. He has been doing his best work late so the step up in trip can suit and he can be a danger. (8) LIKE DRAGON enters off three consecutive 4th places (and a trial in which he finished, of course, 4th). He gets a 2kg apprentice claim and can be on pace here with chances of going better than 4th. (1) DELEKOOMDA and (12) DOCTOR CARA are others in the frame.

It’s fair to say that (1) MUSKET CLEAVER has mixed his form across four starts so far but he was a very good winner at 1200M in September and then a close 2nd at this class and distance on November 15th.  In this company he can be on pace and a similar effort to last time can see him win. (9) GEUMA FOREMOST is yet to win but has placed on six occasions, including his latest at this class and distance on December 6th when coming from well off the pace. This is the kind of race he can place in again. (4) MIGHTY SHINE enters off her first win at start four in a filly over this distance on November 30th. She is up in class but down in weight and she can be competitive.  (11) RAIN STAR and (10) HAEMAJI other place chances.

The step up to 1400M for the first time can suit, Seo Seung-un, get son, and she can win. (8) BREEDO KELLY is yet to win but returned from five months out to run 5th and then 2nd, the latter on December 7th over 1300M when she came from well off the pace to beat a couple of today’s rivals. Like Crystal Mulgyeol, the increase in trip can suit, and she can be a big danger. (12) WORLD BLUE PIN CAT was 4th in that December 7th race behind Breedo Kelly. She has won at this distance and can be in the mix. (10) BEOLGYOUI HIM and (4) BLUEORCHID others in the frame.

Seoul Saturday: Race-By-Race Preview (January 3)

Saturday’s racing is at Seoul with 11 races from 10:35 to 17:55. Here are the Previews:

Chief Star goes in the 9th (Pic: KRA)

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Three-year-old maidens with four of the nine racing for the first time. (5) GOLDEN DIVA is the only one in the race who has appeared twice already, following up a 5th place on debut in November with a 3rd place at 1300M on December 12th, that time racing on pace. She should have a fitness edge over these, and she can win. The danger is (6) SURPRISE. He came from midfield to run 2nd at 1200M on debut on November 23rd and while it was a slow race, he showed enough to suggest he has some potential. (7) GEUMSEONG QUEEN and (3) SUN RISE KING are debut-makers who hinted at ability in their respective trials. (8) LAVITA has been back to trial after a poor debut and gets another chance.

(4) YONGBIGYO is just about the pick here. At start two. She was an on pace 3rd over 1200M before running a close 4th at the same distance on November 29th. There is some other early speed in this race, but she draws well to get forward, and she can go all the way. (11) PARAIBA and (9) GRACE DAY come in having run 3rd and 5th respectively when they raced each other over this distance on December 7th. For both it was their second career start and while they have to contend with wide draws, they shape as the main dangers to the favourite here. (10) HAKSAN TAEPUNG was well back behind Yongbigyo at start number two but was previously 2nd on debut and that’s enough to have her in the numbers. (1) B.K. DEVIL another who can improve.

(3) RAON SAPPHIRE defied a slightly slow start on debut to run on for a close 2nd over this distance on November 30th. She should have come on for that run, she draws well, and she will be a short-price favourite to go one better today. (1) SMART HAESEONG has a 5th and two 3rd places from three outings so far, most recently in a filly maiden at this distance in November. Drawing the inside, she can be on pace and can be in this a long way.  (4) WITH DORTIE didn’t do much on debut at 1400M but had previously trialed adequately and may improve for that run. (6) DAJEONGHAN and (11) THUNDER RUN are others who will have some support.

It’s hard to go far past (1) GEOMEUN SUP. He’s made steady progress across four outings to date, culminating in 2nd on his firs try at this distance on December 6th. He has been racing on pace, so expect similar today, and he should be going one better. (10) TRIPLE PALMETTO has been nothing if not consistent of late with four consecutive 4th place finishes coming into this. She finishes off her races well and should be going closer in this company. (4) CHEONGRYONG GIUN comes into a better gate than he has had of late and can show some improvement. (2) EUNHA KALAS and (3) M J VET are perhaps the best of a limited rest.

(1) RAON FINAL was a winner at start two but has only been ordinary at two subsequent tries at this class. Both of those have been from the widest gate and she’s had to use up plenty to find a good position. She should get a much easier run today and can return to winning ways. She will have to overturn the form on (4) BREEDO TROPHY who was 3rd to Raon Final’s 6th when they raced each other at this class and distance on November 30th. He too is better drawn and while he has six 3rd places to just the one win, he can be in the finish again. (11) YONGBI SHINHWA is up in class after a pair of runner-up finishes. Both or those could easily have been wins and down in weight, he can measure up. (9) CHEONGSAN DOLPUNG and up in class last start winner (8) NAREUSYA NOVA others in the frame.

Seoul & Busan Sunday: Race-By-Race Preview (December 28)

The year’s racing concludes on Sunday with 11 races at Seoul from 10:35 to 18:00 and 6 at Busan from 12:05 to 16:30. Seoul will also host jockey Park Tae-jong’s retirement ceremony after the 6th race. Here are the previews:

Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Juvenile maidens in the opener with three of the twelve racing for the first time. After a good trial, (1) PAS DE CHEVAL ran 2nd on debut on November 29th, showing on pace throughout and beating a couple of today’s rivals. He should have come on for that run, he draws well here, and he can go one better. (9) JISAN LABEL similarly came off a good trial to run 2nd at his first start, in his case over 1200M on November 15th, coming from off the pace. The slight step up in trip can suit. (3) ROAD TO HEAT led for much of the way on debut over 1200M on November 22nd. Ultimately running 3rd. He draws well to lead again, and a little Maia-style can keep him there for the finish. Of the first timers (10) GREEN JACKET won his trial in a decent time and can go well. Returning to the experience, (7) SUPERDAY is the only one who has raced twice and with a 3rd and a 4th, has to be considered.

(10) EUNBIT YUHOK has made steady progress across three starts so far with her latest her best when 3rd at 1200M with two of today’s rivals behind here. That was her first appearance since September, so she can strip fitter for the run, and can be in the mix. (6) RAON PARANOMA has been knocking on the door in recent outings. That proved too much too soon but back in shallower waters today, and with CC climbing on, he is worth another chance. (3) ONEMO TIME enters off an improved 2nd at start number three over 1300M on November 23rd when coming from behind the speed and only narrowly missing out. The slight step up in trip can suit and she will be a danger. (8) ILGEUP BISUL has made solid progress across three outings so far, culminating in 3rd place over 1200M last time out. He draws very well to lead here and if he brings that form to the races, he will take some beating. (5) JANGGO MAN was 2nd in his trial, coming from midfield and finishing ahead of a couple of today’s rivals in a fair time. Seo Seung-un’s booking means he will have plenty of backers. (9) B.K HIGHER was 3rd in his trial, well-back behind the winner but showing enough to suggest he can challenge for a place first-up. She returns to much shallower waters today and despite the wide draw, should return to winning ways. (8) YEONGGWANGUI SKY enters off the back of three consecutive 2nd place finishes at this class. An apprentice keeps his weight nice and low, and while he may need to settle for one being too quick again, he can maintain his good form. An apprentice claim may also benefit (6) CALM IN STORM, who was 3rd at this class and distance three starts back and can come back into contention here. The 1200M can suit first up and Luis is at the controls. In terms of experience, (4) HAKSAN SAMMY is best. She came from well back to run 5th on debut over this distance on November 29th and can have come on for the run. We have to return to the debut makers for the rest. (1) WINNER’S BLUE got well back before running on pleasingly enough in her trial and that’s enough to have her in contention here. (12) RESPIRE and (3) MUSTANG YOUNG others who hinted at ability.

He debuted on November 22nd and ran a strong 2nd over this distance, racing handy throughout and he can go one better today. It may not be straightforward though because (3) JJARITHAN HAENGBOK debuted in the very same race and was less than a length behind in 3rd, having also been on pace.  He won’t be favoured to overturn that, but he should have the beating of the newcomers. Those newcomers are headed by (10) DREAM REMAIN who led all the way to “win” his heat by as many lengths as he pleased. If he can find the speed, he can be in this a long way. Saturday’s racing is at Seoul with 11 races from 10:35 to 18:00. Here are the previews:

Juvenile maidens with seven of the twelve racing for the first time. With none of those who have raced before having finished better than 10th on their respective debuts, we will side with the newcomers. (5) GLOBAL CHAMP won two trials, the second in emphatic fashion on December 4th when he crossed the line eleven-lengths to the good. If he brings that form to the races, he will win. Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

After an ordinary debut, (11) MYEONG DREAM has won back-to-back races at 1200M and most recently and all filly affair at this class over 1400M on November 16th when handy throughout. She gets to stay at this class and only comes up 1.5kg and she will be a hot favourite to make it three in a row. (7) JIJON BULPAE is up in class following a maiden win at start four over 1400M on November 9th when handy all the way. He comes down 3kg in weight and that’s enough to have him in the finish again. (5) TAEGISAN KING returned from eight months out on November 22nd and while he finished down the field, the margins weren’t big and he should strip fitter for the run. (6) WANGCHOEGO and (9) STUNNING SERVE are other place chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

After running 4th on debut (6) CLUTCH MAGIC was a winner at start number two over 1300M, showing on pace throughout and scoring comfortably. He is up in class but down 3.5kg in weight and he can go back-to-back. (10) REVERENCE is also up in class following a maiden win, in his case at the fifth time of asking. It had been coming and it arrived at this distance on 1300M when he raced handy throughout. He is down in weight and while he draws a touch wider than ideal, he can measure up. (8) SILLAUI FIGHTER hasn’t made much of an impact in two tries at this level since an August win but an apprentice claiming 4kg can bring him into contention. (9) WIDAEHAN HAMSEONG and (5) LASER RUN are other place chances.
