The Triple Crown gets underway at Busan on Sunday. Before that, the weekend’s racing kicks off on the South Coast on Friday with 11-races from 11:15 to 17:55. Here are the previews:

Busan Race 1: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

Imported maidens which means a small field. (3) VEGAS JEONTU was 3^rd on debut in January before being a beaten favourite from a wide draw when 6^th of twelve on March 6^th. He is up in weight today but should be on pace and in this a long way.  (5) ONE LAST MARGARITA has a 4^th and a 5^th from two starts so far at 1200M, most recently beating a couple of today’s rivals on March 1^st when he settled back and ran on. He won’t need to improve much to win here. Solitary debut-maker (2) MISS WONDER showed fairly in her trial and has to be given a chance in this company first-up. (6) BARAM DAERO and (7) BIWOLUI KKIM can improve.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1600M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(3) YONGBI JJANG has made progress across three starts to date, culminating in 2^nd place at 1400M on February 27^th when settling right back and running on. His style suggests that the step up to the mile can suit, and he can go one better today. (6) FLASH TO ME was a beaten favourite on February 15^th over this distance when ridden from a wide gate to be handy but not offering much in the straight. If we go on her outing two starts back when 3^rd at 1400M, she can be afforded another chance here. (9) TAMNA BRAVO was similarly disappointing when well back as favourite on March 1^st. He has an excuse as he was found to be lame on the near-fore. He has been back in work since March 13^th and if recovered, should be a danger. (5) SEUNGNI YEYAK and (2) RESONANCE MARINE are other place chances.

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

After winning a trial, (4) SKYNEX ran a close 2^nd on debut over 1200M being slowly away and then running on well.  He should have learned from that and with a better start today, he is the one to beat. (5) BACK TO THE DREAM came from midfield to run 3^rd on debut over 1300M on February 27^th. That also followed a good trial and with some natural improvement, he is a danger. Solitary debut-maker (3) CHEONNYEONDOR went through three trials, and he posted some good times. He draws well to be on pace and if he brings his morning form to the races, he can be in the finish. (11) I AM HAPPY and (9) SHINY KOREA other potential place chances.

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(10) FAST MAN got his maiden win at this class and distance two outings back and then ran 3^rd at 1400M on February 27^th when leading for most of the way. Seo Seung-un returns and while he draws a touch wider than ideal, he can get on pace here and he should have too much here. (11) B.K. SPIRIT had a poor day at the office when favourite over 1300M on January 18^th, showing on pace but weakening. He comes in here fresh after ten weeks off and back at the trip over which he won, he is worth another chance. (12) TAEYANG EUTTEUM was 3^rd in that January 18^th race and was 3^rd in his latest too on March 15^th. The veteran makes a quick return here and this is the kind of race he can money in again. (5) CLUTCH RUNNER and (4) WIND SWORD both need their respective latest starts overlooked.

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(2) FAST WIND is yet to win but is up in class with two 2^nd places from three starts so far. Both were over 1200M, but the way he has finished off his races suggest that the extended trip can suit and he gets both a weight drop and a nice draw. (9) GEUMSEONG missed the kick and wanted no part of proceedings over a mile on March 1^st. That was his first time missing the top four and he can be given another chance here. (7) DAEGIL HERO was somewhat ordinary last time out too, but he was a winner at this class over 1300M two starts back and he too warrants another chance. (10) GRAND DREAM and (1) OWNER CHAMP perhaps the best of a limited rest.

Busan Race 6: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(3) ALL ROUND ONE got his second win three starts back and has since registered a 4^th and a 3^rd in two subsequent starts at this class at a mile and most recently his first try at this distance on February 27^th when, as is his style, he came from off the pace. He should have benefited from that experience and he can win here. (11) WINNERS ROOKIE was 6^th behind All Round One in that February 27^th race but won well over this distance at class 5 level prior to that. He likes to race on pace and while his draw is wider than ideal, he can be competitive. (1) TAMARKUZ KING may have only managed 7^th on his latest outing back in February, but he did beat a couple of today’s rivals and has since looked good in a trial. (7) SKY WIN WIN and (10) DEMON SPY other minor money chances.

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(11) GANGSEO TREND is a winner of two from three, most recently a front-running score over 1400M on January 23^rd. He comes up in class and in trip here but looks to have plenty of potential for me and he can win again. (9) FANTASTIC EAGLE is also up in class following a win and a runner-up finish from his latest two, both over a mile. In the absence of an apprentice claim, his carried weight actually goes up, but that’s mitigated by Seo Seung-un returning, and he is a big danger. (5) SHACKLE SUN got too far back last time but he has placed in both previous tries at this distance and Franco getting on catches the eye. (1) BEST BOY and (3) YONGAM BLACK among plenty of others in with a chance in a competitive race.

Busan Race 8: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(3) VANGIE has never finished any worse than 4^th and has won three times over this trip. He was the beaten favourite on March 6^th at 1400M but back at 1200M and well-drawn, he can win. (6) KING ANYDAY was the winner of that March 6^th race at big odds. He was given a chance in the Korea Sprint last September and while he may not win again, he can be in the finish. (5) BEOLMA KING comes out of the Listed Segye Ilbo at Seoul last month where he run on for 8^th of fifteen from a wide draw. This is obviously more amenable company and he can be close. (9) ROAD STAR and (11) HEUIMANG GARAM other place chances.
